Ms. Isabella Potts, Coordinator of Victory Community Carnival

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM

We have been certified as a site for the City of Houston's Summer Lunch  Program.  Beginning on Monday - July 7, our church will be open from 11 AM to 1 PM to serve boxed lunches for children and youth from ages 1 to 18 years. WE MUST MAINTAIN A MINIMUM OF "20" PARTICIPANTS IN ORDER TO REMAIN OPEN!  Table games and activities will be available for the enjoyment of the participants.  Registration forms are available at the entrance of the sanctuary.

DIGITAL TELEVISION

Do you have a TV in your home that works with the help of "rabbit ears" or a  roof top antenna?  If so, you will need a TV Converter Box for it to operate  after February, 2009.  Sloan's AARP has provided applications for  the  $40 coupons which can be used towards the purchase of the TV Converter Boxes.  Applications are available in the reception area of our church.

HURRICANE SEASON

The hurricane season has already begun.  Should the need arise for immediate  evacuation, many individuals with special medical needs, the lack of transportation,   and/or the inability to mobilize themselves, would definitely need the assistance of  someone else in order to reach an area of safety.  The Houston Office of   Emergency Management has provided 2008 registration forms for all persons  who would need assistance with transportation should the need arise to evacuate. INDIVIDUALS MUST REGISTER EVERY YEAR!  Sloan's AARP is in the process of getting applications completed for members on our Sick and Shut-in list.  Applications are available in the reception area of the church.  Take an application for yourself and/or reach out to help register another person in need.
